We are currently seeking qualified candidates for a Senior Management (Oracle) role with a global technology advisory and management consulting company. This is a permanent position that will be based out of Johannesburg, South Africa.
PURPOSE
Our Client is looking for an individual to become a leading contributor within their Technology Enablement division. The Senior Manager should have a broad consulting background and a good understanding of solutions across industries while applying best practices for multiple business processes or technology designs across multiple product and technology families. A key area of focus is in Oracle, Taleo and other HR-related elements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Exercises judgement and business acumen in selecting methods and techniques to design non-routine and complex business solutions utilising Oracle products and technology to meet customer needs
- Influences customer leadership in acceptance of Oracle solutions and services to facilitate the closing of consulting deals
- Contributes to statements of work, work breakdown structures and/or level of effort and staff plans
- Presents and demonstrates solutions to customers
- Builds and maintains a network and up-to-date specific industry or product knowledge
- Responsible for transitioning deal knowledge to implementation team
- Leads the domain specific solution design aspects of engagement(s) ensuring high quality and integrated business solutions
- Anticipates project risks and suggest risk mitigation to project manager
- Resolves complex customer issues by recommending solutions
- Demonstrates expertise in multiple business processes across multiple Oracle application solutions / modules or ability to architect and design technology solutions encompassing multiple products
- Contributes in a meaningful manner to business development activities (e.g. proposal writing, building client relationships, understanding client requirements and challenges which lead to opportunities)
EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- BCom or BSC qualification with focus on Information Technology, Computer Science or similar; Honours degrees are preferable
- 8-10 years of relevant experience including 4 years of consulting experience
- Relevant Oracle Applications certification (desired)
- Experience with:
- Applications: Oracle Human Capital Management, Oracle Cloud solutions for HR (including Taleo), Payroll
- Methodologies: Oracle AIM, Oracle OUM, Scrum, Agile (desired)
- Prior team lead or manager experience
- Broad product, technology or industry expertise
- Knowledge of Oracle’s strategic direction
- Hands on expertise on relevant Oracle solutions, preferably with emphasis on Cloud solutions
- Ability to craft and articulate strategic solutions
- In-depth knowledge of implementation methodologies and best practices
- Knowledge of competitive and partner products, technology and solutions
- Proven mentor and trainer, skilled at communicating with all organizational levels and cross-functional teams
- Proven track record in delivering business and technical transformation project within the financial services, mining, telecommunications / public sector environments
- Strong Business and Technical Oracle applications knowledge
- The proven ability to drive and deliver on transformation projects
- Client focused with strong communication and relationship skills
- Strong and effective project management and team leading skills
- Self-starter able to work effectively as part of a ‘virtual team’
