We are currently seeking qualified candidates for a Sales Management role with a leading life sciences company specialising in genomics. This is a permanent position with responsibilities for accounts across Denmark and Sweden.
PURPOSE
The Sales Manager will achieve financial targets by maintaining and growing sales of the Company’s Genomics portfolio within a defined territory across all customer segments (Agbio, Healthcare, Academia and Government). The successful candidate will have a track record of employing company best practice sales tools such CRM, sales planning and pipeline management to achieve targets whilst operating within and upholding Company values.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement business plans to achieve territory sales targets across the Company’s Genomics products, equipment, consumables and services portfolio.
- Implement business plans that generate near-term growth aligned to longer-term strategic initiatives.
- Build and manage strategic and senior level customer relationships.
- Understand customers’ key goals and align the Company to these.
- Negotiate on commercial terms – pricing, delivery & specifications with customer decision-makers.
- Make best use of company CRM system on a routine basis & in the development of territory & account plans.
- Provide performance reports and metrics at sales review meetings, identifying areas for improvement and planned actions, and sharing best practices/lessons learnt.
- Keep abreast of product and industry developments and market intelligence.
- Liaise closely with internal colleagues to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Maintain a high level of market and competitor intelligence.
EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- BSc or MSc in a Life Sciences discipline.
- A minimum of 2 years field sales experience in the Life Sciences sector, ideally in the field of Genomics.
- A full driving license.
- Primary language must be Swedish or Danish, along with fluency in English.
- A dedicated sales professional – someone who enjoys achieving the sale.
- Strong organizational & business planning skills – able to develop & execute business plans that deliver growth from current customer base whilst developing business growth from new customers
- Excellent customer prospection skills – someone who thrives on identifying new opportunities and developing new relationships
- A team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively across customer and internal stakeholders.
- Enthusiastic with a positive attitude.
- Excellent literacy and numeracy skills.
