We are currently seeking qualified candidates for a Project Management role with a leading provider of contract services to the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industries. This a permanent position that will be based out of Glasgow, Scotland.
PURPOSE
The Enterprise PM manages the project experience for select customers whose projects span multiple sites, ensuring their satisfaction, loyalty, and growth. The Enterprise PM operates ‘above site,’ and must be able to align projects across all sites and eliminate inter-site barriers when managing the work in total for a client whose projects are not limited to a single site. The Enterprise PM drives the Company’s commitment to provide the best customer experience in the industry. The Enterprise PM leads the change needed to move from being a manufacturing or testing company to being a supply chain solutions company, and from being site focused to being client focused. The Enterprise PM drives accountability for client projects across all sites and is empowered to do so.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Project Management ownership of key customer programs across all sites, including but not limited to: Master Production Plan; Communication Plan; Commercialization Plan; Operational Forecasts; & Risk Assessment Plan
- Successfully drive and implement customer solutions by working closely with the Account Manager, the Customer, and all relevant Support and Operational Departments.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal departments across all sites.
- Become primary point of information for Customer projects across all sites.
- Coordinate the interaction with internal departments in the areas of procurement kick-off calls, resource assignments, and document review.
- Drive reduction of turnaround times and transition point hand off’s to effectively reduce the overall time from production initiation to product release.
- Prepare management reports to effectively communicate customer loyalty, project profitability, and gap analyses for continuous improvement.
- Communicate to the Senior Manager of Program Management and Executive Management, issues that may affect customer metrics and loyalty.
- Use, develop and provide feedback on information management tools such as iNet, LIMS, CRM and other customer accessible portals.
- Develop and formalize key hand off and transition point protocol with site specific project managers.
EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree in biological sciences or business discipline. MBA or advanced degree in biological sciences or business discipline desirable.
- > 10 years of demonstrated, successful Project Management and or operations experience
- Technical understanding of biological systems including process development, bio-manufacturing, assay development, and testing.
- Experience and working knowledge of FDA as well as global regulated Quality systems.
- Working knowledge of software applications including but not limited to: MS Project, MS Excel, and MS Word and web based applications.
- Strong communication skills with ability to build professional relationships with external and internal Clients.
- Exceptional “Buy-in” skills.
- Willingness to become adept in Client Resource Management, Sales/Customer Service.
- Strong business acumen.
- Highly developed presentation skills, able to present to varied audiences with various levels of understanding.
- PMP® certification preferred, but not required.
- Domestic and global travel up to 50%.
