We are currently seeking qualified candidates for an Account Management role with a world leader in the development and manufacture of advanced bioreactor systems. This is a permanent, field-based role with responsibility for the Northern United Kingdom territory.
PURPOSE
Our Client is looking for a success driven individual with a background in cell and/or microbial culture to develop and expand their range of fermentation & associated equipment in the UK. The individual will ideally have 2-3 years’ experience gleaned from industry/academia in the cell culture or fermentation area, and 2+ yrs of experience in capital biotech-type sales.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- To develop & sell Company portfolio equipment throughout the sales cycle
- Find leads for clients; maintain existing accounts
- Work as part of a specialist sales team
- Mixture of North and possibly some South UK Accounts.
- Area turnover target of £0.5-0.7m per annum, with the potential for >£1m per annum
- Clients across biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries, as well as academia
- Extensive travel required – Our Client anticipates 4 days on road; 1 day at home doing admin per week. Expected to travel overseas occasionally.
EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Education: Degree level in relevant Biological field
- Minimum of 3 years industry experience required
- Minimum of 2 years of cell culture/microbial & upstream processing (USP) experience; and/or 2+ years of capital biotech-type sales experience required
- Experience with biological / microbiological-cell culture USP desirable
- Location: anywhere with good transport links for Northern England and Scotland will be considered.
